Long Weekend Guide on Places to Visit in Year 2020

Many people often asked:” How did you manage to travel while holding a full time job?” I guess figuring out the best way to maximize the long weekends and public holidays is the key to achieve this feat. Many planning involved and with that, I mean way in advance forward planning in order to get the best holiday deal is important. I assume most Singaporeans have an average annual leave of 14 days, so let’s use this as a benchmark to see how we can “strategise” and make the most out of it.

Yes, that’s right! Kick off the year in January with a long Europe break. The best time to travel is in January as it is after the peak season. What’s more, do you know places like Santorini is much cheaper during their off season and with that, it mean less crowd to jostle with as well. At times, or most of the time rather, one can have the whole beach to yourself!  The only down side is most shops/ cafes are closed. Hey, you just need a place to eat and chill isn’t it? Not to worry, hotels and some cafe are still open and prices like I mentioned, is a tad cheaper with no long queue! I suggest to spend 3 days on Santorini island, followed by a stopover in Athens for 2 days. The remaining 4 days, one can arrange a bus to Albania or visit the beautiful Macedonia.
